Call for “A State of Compassion” for Families of Eastpoint, Florida

We  are asking businesses, faith-based groups, individuals and “whosoever will” to adopt one of the 36 families who lost their homes in Franklin County, Eastpoint, Florida, this weekend. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, WOCY Radio Station, and Tallahassee Memorial Health Care will adopt a family and support them in rebuilding their homes. Also, we will walk with this family for 36 months to provide them with life’s basic necessities.

According to the government officials, this crisis does not rise to level where the governor can declare a state of emergency, therefore FEMA will not be providing assistance.  However, we are calling this a “State of Compassion” and we are calling in our own FEMA:

Faith-Energy-Mercy-Action”

The community-at-large, including businesses, community and religious organizations and individuals are invited to adopt other families during this great time of need.  Families will be matched with partners as they become available.
