
Mission
- To involve Bethel’s retired members in the planning and execution of church ministries
- To maintain positive fellowship through spiritual growth and development, luncheons, retreats, excursions and recognition of Bethel’s retirees annually
- To maintain a Directory of Retirees
- To provide workshops, life-long learning opportunities and volunteering service to other ministries
This ministry was established to further promote and build strong spiritual relationships among Bethel Missionary Baptist Church’s retired members. This ministry volunteers and serves as a support to other ministries: Choir, Youth, Bethel Christian Academy, the sick and shut-in and provides services as needed. It also provides an opportunity to meet new Christian friends and develop positive social networks.
The Retirement Ministry hosts an annual recognition luncheon for new retirees, sponsors educational monthly luncheons in conjunction with the Africare, Promise Ministries on an alternate basis. The Retirement Ministry supports the Church’s and Pastor’s Anniversary.
